Concordia Hosting Tri-College Alliance of Latinos Conference

Concordia College’s Latinx Organization for Achievement is hosting the first Tri-College Alliance of Latinos Conference from 6-11 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, in the Centrum, Knutson Campus Center.

The alliance is a new collaborative effort between students from Concordia College, North Dakota State University, and Minnesota State University Moorhead, to create a greater connection between the Latino/Hispanic community in Fargo-Moorhead.

The night will be both educational and fun.

There will be two panels — one about Latinos in Fargo-Moorhead and one on Latinos in education. For the first panel, Dr. Fanny Roncal Ramirez from the Spanish department, Martha Castonon from the Immigrant Law Center, and Karla Hernandez from the Prairie Rose Agricultural Institute for Research, Innovation, and Education (PRAIRIE) will lead the community discussion. Dr. Angel Carrete Rodriguez from the Offutt School of Business, Sunet Rubalcava from the Center for Student Success, and Dr. Robert Nava from Minnesota State University Moorhead will be part of the education discussion.

There will also be food, cultural presentations, and a dance.

Learn more about the agenda and panelists on the LOA Instagram page.

While registration is not required, people are encouraged to sign up online.
