NOVEMBER LORENTZSEN CENTER LUNCHEON 

 

The Lorentzsen Center for Faith and Work, part of the Concordia College Offutt School of Business, will hold an upcoming luncheon, “How God Finds His Place in the Office of a CEO.” The luncheon is 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, in Barry Auditorium, Offutt School of Business, Concordia College. The speaker is Carrie Brimhall.

Brimhall, a 1999 Concordia graduate, is president of Minnesota State Community and Technical College (M State). She is a dynamic, strategic leader who believes people are the heart of an institution. She focuses on developing and empowering teams, striving for continuous improvement, and using value-driven strategies to facilitate institutional changes that impact student success. Brimhall earned her doctoral and master’s degrees in organizational management, with a specialization in leadership at Capella University, her bachelor’s degree in communication at Concordia College, and her Associate of Arts degree at M State.

Brimhall will share the role of God/faith in the office of the CEO. She will invoke her experiences as a woman of faith in a top leadership position.

The Lorentzsen Center honors the life and work of Norman M. Lorentzsen. He was an esteemed philanthropist, former CEO of Burlington Northern, alumnus of Concordia, and former member and chair of its Board of Regents. The center identifies and sustains ethical values and practices in individuals and organizations.
