Adjusting to college academics can be tough, so we’ve designed classes to help. Students learn proven strategies to help reach their full potential in the classroom and beyond. INQ 101 and 102 help equip you to study smarter and make choices that will positively impact your college career. In addition, each 1-credit course counts toward the 126 credits needed for graduation.

Inquiry 101: Learning Strategies for College Success

Designed to empower students to reach their full potential, students will learn and build college success strategies including time management, how the brain works, and how to navigate higher education. College learning is different from high school, and this class will help you make the most of your opportunity to grow as a scholar. The main goal of this course is to help you identify and develop the strategies necessary to be a successful college student.

Inquiry 102: Actions and Attitudes for College Success

Through the lens of Strengths, students will explore actions, attitudes, and strategies that impact success in college and in life. Students will have the opportunity to self-reflect to learn about who they are as a person, and to build an understanding of how the way they view their circumstances affects their behavior.

Will I be able to manage the coursework in addition to my other classes?

Yes!  Instructors have designed the course so that you can complete most if not all classwork during class time. The coursework is also created to support your work in other classes.

When are these classes available?

INQ 101 takes place every fall and INQ 102 takes place every spring.
