The council works with the Concordia community on projects to integrate learning about sustainability into our daily life, within the college curriculum and beyond it. The council is made up of faculty, staff, and students, the latter of which serve a two-year term. Dr. Kenneth Foster serves as chair of the council.

On April 11, 2017, Dr. William Craft, president of Concordia College at the time, signed the Integrated Climate Commitment. This commitment was brought forth by the President’s Sustainability Council and builds on the strong work of Concordia staff, students, and faculty over the last decade. This climate action plan engages us in a common endeavor to live in ways that will sustain not only the health of our college but also our community, nation, and world.
