Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn., starts the 2017-18 academic year with opening convocation at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 31.

First-year and transfer students at Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn., will participate in the 24th annual Hands for Change.

Concordia College will present approximately 532 bachelor's degrees and eight Master of Education degrees during its commencement ceremony at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 7, in Memorial Auditorium.

Dr. Laurie Dahley was elected as the president-elect for the Minnesota Social Service Association.

Jenna Scarbrough, Oliver Reitan and Ruth Peterson have been awarded Fulbright U.S. Student Program English Teaching Assistantships.
