English / Communication Arts Education

The English Education major prepares students to teach English and Communication Arts in grades 5-12. In addition to taking the required classes, students must also participate in two co-curricular activities approved by the department in advance.

  • Students should complete their world language core requirement in the first year, if possible.
  • Students with transfer credit for ENG 150 should consult with their advisors before enrolling in ENG 160 or ENG 165.

Exercise Science

The department states that any student interested or even considering a professional program such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, athletic training, etc. needs to take CHEM 127 and NOT CHEM 142. If in doubt, students should take CHEM 127. The department also advises not taking both Biology and Chemistry during the first year.
